Asbestos — Stop, Don't Touch

ANY building built or refurbished before 2000 may contain asbestos. You CANNOT identify asbestos by looking at it — it must be tested.

| Textured coatings (Artex) | Ceilings and walls — pre-2000 |
| Floor tiles | 9×9 inch thermoplastic tiles |
| Pipe lagging | Wrapped around heating/water pipes |
| Cement sheets & gutters | Roofing, wall cladding, downpipes |
| Insulation board (AIB) | Ceiling tiles, partition walls, fire protection |
| Rope seals | Around boilers and flue pipes |
| Soffit boards | Under roof overhangs |
| Roof felt | Bitumen-based felts |
| Behind fuse boxes | Flash guards and panels |
| Toilet cisterns | Older cisterns and seats |
