- Travel between sites during the working day counts towards your hours for NMW purposes
- Waiting time on site counts if your employer requires you to be there
- Time spent putting on PPE/workwear counts if required before starting work
Deductions
- Deductions by your employer cannot take you below NMW
- This includes deductions for tools, uniform, transport, or accommodation above the offset rate
- If deductions are taking you below NMW, that is unlawful — see guide 3.22
