Log every scaffold inspection the way the law actually requires.

For small firms and site managers running scaffolds under the Work at Height Regs. Generates a compliant register, not a notebook scribble.

Work at Height Regulations 2005 require scaffold inspections before first use, every 7 days, and after any event affecting stability. Records must be kept on site and retained for at least 3 months.

Disclaimer: This tool generates a scaffold inspection record in line with Schedule 7 of the Work at Height Regulations 2005. The inspection itself must be carried out by a competent person. This tool records findings — it does not replace competence, training or judgement.

    What the law actually says

    • Scaffolds must be inspected before first use, after substantial alteration, after anything affecting stability (e.g. weather), and at intervals not exceeding 7 days.
    • Inspections must be by a competent person and recorded in writing.
    • Failure to keep records is itself an offence.
